Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Oil Spill Responder to lead and support oil spill response and environmental protection operations.
The candidate will supervise response activities, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate emergency spill containment and cleanup operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise oil spill response and cleanup operations.
- Respond immediately to emergency spill incidents and environmental hazards.
- Deploy and operate oil spill response equipment such as booms, skimmers, pumps, and absorbents.
- Coordinate with emergency response teams, supervisors, and HSE personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and inventory of spill response equipment.
- Prepare incident reports, response documentation, and operational records.
- Train and guide junior responders on proper spill response procedures.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety training programs.
- Monitor work activities to ensure safe and effective operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in oil spill response or environmental emergency operations.
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and environmental regulations.
- Experience operating spill response and recovery equipment.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor and emergency conditions.
- Ability to work shifts, overtime, and emergency call-outs.
