Senior Officer - Vendor Management

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Complete and document vendor onboarding within agreed turnaround times and assess vendor capabilities, financial stability, and expertise.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data, including valid trade licenses, and govern vendor deactivation and reactivation.
• Verify changes to sensitive vendor data, including bank account details, to reduce unauthorized amendments, payment errors, and fraud risk.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, including UAE FTA e-invoicing obligations for UAE-registered vendors.
• Conduct due diligence, sanctions screening, and third-party risk assessments; identify and escalate compliance, reputational, and operational risks.
• Close vendor management audit observations and improve internal controls to prevent repeat findings.
• Partner with IT to resolve system issues and implement vendor management system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Procurement, Vendor Management, Supplier Management, Third-Party Risk, or a related function.
• A master's degree is preferred.
• CIPS certification is preferred.
