Accounts Payable Invoice Processing

  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes for purchase order and non-purchase order transactions.
  • Analyze supplier invoices by expense type and post them to the appropriate general ledger account.
  • Obtain invoice authorization according to defined process procedures.
  • Apply the correct VAT treatment to expense invoices.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve differences.
  • Perform payment runs.

Vendor Master Data

  • Create new vendor accounts and update existing supplier records according to company policy.
  • Handle queries relating to vendor master data.

Travel and Expenses

  • Process travel and expense reports according to company policy.
  • Handle travel and expense queries.

General Process Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and error-free processing in accordance with process service-level agreements.
  • Follow all policy rules and regulations applicable to the process.
  • Communicate process issues in real time and raise timely red flags.

Relevant Experience

  • 2–6 years of relevant experience is required in the financial accounting and analysis Accounts Payable domain.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP in the AP-FICO module is required.
  • Experience in a similar third-party or captive organization is desired.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Accounting skills and experience with SAP ERP.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good PC skills, including typing, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook email handling.
  • Sound knowledge of Finance and Accounting procedures, Accounts Payable, and travel and expense processes.
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable, cash management, and fixed assets is an added advantage.
  • A foreign language that the candidate can speak, read, and write is an added advantage.
