About the role
Design, implement, and maintain LAN and WAN networks, internet systems, and network security.
Ensure reliable, secure, high-performing connectivity across the organization.
Network responsibilities
- Design and deploy internal and external networks for effective, secure connectivity.
- Install and maintain network devices and software; perform maintenance and upgrades to improve performance and security.
- Assign routing protocols and configure routing tables to protect networks from external threats.
- Install and support LAN, WAN, internet, and ISP circuits.
- Coordinate with IT teams to integrate networks with other systems.
- Identify and resolve network faults and security incidents and report them regularly.
- Monitor network stability and performance, assess user needs, and define requirements for new network projects.
- Provide user support for network-related issues.
- Ensure infrastructure connectivity complies with company technical standards.
- Plan, implement, and enhance networks and underlying infrastructure while maintaining security.
IT infrastructure and reporting
- Manage PCs, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, PDAs, smartphones, biometric and CCTV devices, and call center services.
- Submit monthly reports on completed tasks to the direct manager.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; IT degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in a Systems Administration department; systems administration experience is noted as preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with ownership and initiative.
