• Mandatory skills
• **Routing & switching :**
• BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, Spanning Tree, Cisco IOS/NX-OS.

• **Network Security:**
• Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper), IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, Access Control Lists (ACLs), Cloud WAF

• Proficiency in Python or Ansible for network configuration management and orchestration.

• SNMP, NetFlow, QoS, advanced use of network performance monitoring (NPM) tools.
• Cloud Networking:
• Connectivity to major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), VNet/VPC design, and cloud firewall integration.
• **Industry standards -**
• Certifications for network related requirements such as in ISO27001 etc.
• Desired skills
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Aruba certifications
• Experience in data center networking
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, or Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
• Exposure to DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience in documentation, SOP creation, RCA, and transition activities
• The Senior Engineer - Network is responsible for the design, architecture, implementation, and advanced maintenance of the organization's critical IT network infrastructure.
• This role serves as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, delivers projects, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of all enterprise networks.
• The ideal candidate must be well versed with cloud infrastructure (public and private clouds) and related security functions.

Operations & Engineering

• Perform as Level 2 technical escalation point for all network-related incidents, performing deep-dive analysis, packet captures, and root cause analysis to permanently resolve persistent or critical network outages.
• Manage and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and solutions, ensuring compliance with defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and/or EIGRP in a diverse routing infrastructure.
• Perform firewall administration, VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access), and network security policies to protect the network perimeter and internal segments.
• Monitor network performance using advanced tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Dynatrace) to ensure optimal health, capacity utilization, and proactive problem resolution.
• Develop and maintain accurate network topology diagrams, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
• Ability to capture and interpret Wireshark logs for in depth packet level analysis
• Adhere to flydubai change management process and procedures for efficient use and handling of all resource changes (Hardware, software, service, and data) to minimize the impact of Change-related faults
• Hands on experience with firewalls, routers, bridges, switches and gateway devices, appliances and software.
• Hands on experience with AWS including Direct connect, transit gateway,ALB,Security groups etc
• Highly skilled in network-oriented problem solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting
• Highly knowledgeable in network fundamentals and IP communication technologies
• Able to handle private and confidential information with physical and ethical care
• Ability to identify and rapidly learn new and complex technologies

Security & Compliance

• Implement and enforce security best practices across all network components, working closely with the security team on vulnerability management and remediation.
• Ensure all networks and their processes adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, etc).

Project & Operations Support

• Provide technical delivery of IT infrastructure projects related to network.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for complex networks and procedures.
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet project milestones and support SLA’s.

Network Architecture & Design

• Design, plan, and implement complex, resilient, and high-performance network solutions (e.g., routing, switching, wireless, firewall, load balancing) across multi-site and datacentre environments including cloud services (IaaS, PaaS).
• Collaborate with Network Architects and other IT teams to define the network technology roadmap and ensure network designs align with strategic business objectives and scalability requirements.
• Maintain network roadmap and architecture standards, ensuring new solutions align with security requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support proof-of-concept efforts and technical evaluations of emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the IT network environment.

Audit & Compliance

• Collaborate with IT, audit, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organization policies, regulations & standards
• Prepare, update, and keep documentation and artifacts in place required for alignment with organization policies, regulations & standards.

Security

• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and network security technologies
• Ensure organization is always kept safe from network related threats.

Support

• Provide 24x7 support for network related incidents and problems.
• Provide level 2 support (as subject matter expert) for the relevant network solutions & services
