Senior Network Engineer

Position summary

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing and switching in complex enterprise environments.
• Plan, deploy, and support enterprise wireless network solutions.
• Implement and manage VMware NSX, including Distributed Firewall and security policies.
• Configure and maintain firewall policies for security and compliance.
• Support network optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center environments.
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects, migrations, and technology upgrades.
• Participate in change management, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Guide and support junior engineers and operations teams.

Required skills and experience

• At least 7 years of hands-on Cisco Routing and Switching experience and expert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
• At least 4 years of hands-on enterprise wireless networking implementation experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on VMware NSX implementation experience, including Distributed Firewall, NSX firewall configuration and policy management, and network virtualization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise firewall technologies and security best practices.
• Exposure to DNS concepts and troubleshooting; conceptual understanding of SD-WAN architecture and technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise network environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification is preferred.
• VMware NSX-related certifications are highly desirable.
• Large enterprise or managed services experience is preferred.
• ITIL and change management knowledge and experience with network monitoring and automation tools are advantageous.
