Role overview
Senior business applications developer reporting to the Manager, NetSuite Business Systems.
Shares responsibility for developing and maintaining cloud-based applications, integrating systems, improving data and reporting, and increasing end-user productivity.
Responsibilities and technical scope
- Customize NetSuite ERP and build integrations using NetSuite scripting and APIs.
- Create and maintain Suitelet, RESTlet, User Event, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Client, Portlet, and other NetSuite scripts.
- Develop Advanced PDF/HTML templates and work with intercompany and inventory management modules.
- Use SOAP/REST web services, APIs, ODBC, and other integration technologies.
- Write SQL/T-SQL queries and scripts for database manipulation and cleansing.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot NetSuite user and system issues as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5–7+ years as a NetSuite application developer in a high-tech business environment, with supply chain and finance functional knowledge.
- Two or more years developing business applications using Agile methodology.
- Ability to align stakeholders across company levels on system requirements and priorities.
- Significant participation in or leadership of at least one full NetSuite implementation.
- Familiarity with business processes and translating business needs into application and technical requirements.
- Strong documentation and communication skills for non-technical audiences.
- Availability for approximately 8:00 PM–5:00 AM IST to work within the US Pacific Time Zone.
Core NetSuite skills
- NetSuite ERP customization; SuiteScript 1.0, 2.0, and 2.1; SuiteBuilder configuration; and SuiteFlows.
- Experience with NetSuite scripts and Advanced PDF/HTML templates.
- Web services, APIs, ODBC, SQL/T-SQL, and application integration technologies.
Additional advantageous experience
- NetSuite SuiteFoundation or SuiteCloud Developer certification; global supply chain or contract manufacturing business analysis; and Agile project tools such as Jira.
- Additional systems and expertise may include Salesforce/Apex, MuleSoft, Arena PLM, Avalara, 3PL integration, standard costing, Eclipse, Java, CI/CD, and EDI.
- Experience with global operations, forecasting, planning, ATP tools, or automated data transfer with external business partners is advantageous.
