Android & iOS Development
- Own the end-to-end development of REAB's native Android and iOS applications
- Build and maintain a high-performance short-form video feed with smooth playback (ExoPlayer / AVPlayer)
- Implement core app features: user profiles, social interactions, notifications, content upload and discovery
- Integrate RESTful APIs and real-time features built by the backend team
Super App Features
- Develop and maintain in-app wallet, top-up, and eSIM features on both platforms
- Implement secure payment flows and third-party financial service integrations
Quality & Performance
- Ensure app stability, performance, and battery efficiency across a wide range of devices
- Write unit and UI tests; maintain high code quality standards
- Monitor crash reports and resolve issues using tools like Firebase Crashlytics
Collaboration
- Work closely with the full stack developer and product team on API design and feature planning
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
- Manage App Store and Google Play releases, versioning, and review submissions
Requirements
- 4+ years of native mobile development experience on Android and/or iOS
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS
- Proven experience building and shipping production apps to the App Store and Google Play
- Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX patterns, performance optimisation, and memory management
- Experience with video playback (ExoPlayer / AVPlayer) and media-heavy applications
- Solid understanding of RESTful API integration and mobile security best practices
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities across two platforms, and communicate clearly in English
- Based in Dubai or able to commute to Al Quoz daily
- Nice to Have
- Experience with HLS video streaming and CDN-delivered media (Bunny.net or similar)
- Familiarity with social or short-form video app architecture (feed, upload pipeline, moderation)
- Experience with in-app wallet, payment flows, or fintech integrations
- Knowledge of content moderation SDKs or AI-based media filtering
- Experience with Flutter as a secondary framework alongside native development
- Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED6,800.00 per month
