Senior Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with analytical/simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, STK, Modelica, SciPy/SciKit‐Learn) to inform model‐driven trade space exploration.
• Experience developing executable system models (e.g., OMG‐CSMP certification or equivalent knowledge).
• Programming experience in Python, Java, or JavaScript for model automation and analysis.
• Experience working in Agile engineering environments supporting Department of War or Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
• Experience with UAF or DoDAF architecture frameworks.
• Work Location: Ability to work full‐time in a classified Carlsbad, CA facility.
• Additional Clearance Note: Active and transferable U.S. government-issued DODTS/SCI with the ability to obtain Special Access security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
• Basic Compensation: $115,000-$215,580. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
• Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
