Key responsibilities
- Deliver iOS and Android features from story through implementation, testing, and release readiness.
- Investigate, reproduce, root-cause, fix, and verify issues on real devices without leaving regressions.
- Maintain feature and behavior parity across native and cross-platform codebases.
- Write secure production code aligned with OWASP MASVS; protect secrets and act on scan findings.
- Manage signing, provisioning, build configuration, store submissions, and reproducible builds.
- Test real devices across OS versions, screen sizes, and platform behaviors before QA handoff.
- Review peers’ code for quality and security; keep boards, blockers, and documentation current.
- Share defect patterns, workflows, and reusable practices with the team.
Required experience
- 5+ years of professional mobile development and production apps shipped to both the App Store and Google Play.
- Experience across native Android, native iOS, and at least one hybrid or cross-platform framework.
- Android: Kotlin and/or Java, Jetpack Compose and/or Views, Android SDK, and Gradle.
- iOS: Swift and/or Objective-C, UIKit and/or SwiftUI, and Xcode.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, concurrency, memory management, and app architecture.
- REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication, real-time communication, and intermittent connectivity handling.
- Offline-first local storage, caching, background sync, and conflict handling.
- OWASP MASVS/MASTG-based security, release engineering, production debugging, testing, Git review workflows, and mobile CI/CD.
Mobile technology scope
Cross-platform options include Flutter, React Native, NativeScript, Kotlin Multiplatform, .NET MAUI, Ionic/Capacitor, or an equivalent framework.
Security work covers secure storage, cryptography, authentication and transport security, resilience, third-party SDK diligence, and SAST/dependency scan findings.
Release work includes signing, provisioning profiles, keystores, build flavors and schemes, store review, staged Google Play rollouts, and phased App Store releases.
Production analysis includes crash reporting, profiling, memory and performance analysis, and device-specific issues; unit and UI tests are authored alongside implementation.
