Role overview
Full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Project Engineer role based in Khor Fakkan.
Leads mechanical and MEP project execution from design review through commissioning, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review mechanical designs and CAD drawings; prepare material submittals.
- Coordinate with consultants and site teams and monitor progress against schedule and budget.
- Manage subcontractors, resolve technical issues, conduct site inspections, and guide junior engineers and technicians.
- Support tendering, participate in client meetings, and contribute to improvement of project management and engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering and MEP expertise, with experience in building services or industrial projects.
- Project engineering and management skills, including planning, coordination, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
- CAD proficiency and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities; attention to detail and focus on safety and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to collaborate with multicultural teams and interact with clients and consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and several years of mechanical or MEP project engineering experience; contracting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with local codes and standards, project management software, and successful UAE or GCC project delivery are beneficial.
