Senior Mechanical Engineer – Operations and Maintenance

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Resolve immediate operations issues with the site team under the Operations Engineering Manager's direction.
• Assess asset mechanical engineering risks and drive actions to reduce them within agreed timeframes.
• Define static mechanical engineering operating envelopes, monitor equipment health, and investigate excursions.
• Monitor static mechanical engineering KPIs and initiate corrective actions.
• Support technical Management of Change and Engineering Queries.
• Identify production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities.
• Write, review, and recommend technical input for Site Operations Procedures.
• Coach client engineers in static mechanical engineering.
• Generate, revise, and review discipline technical documentation.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc, BEng, MEng, or international equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering subject.
• Professional accreditation as a Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer.
• Significant experience in an Operations Mechanical Engineering support role.
• Advanced engineering knowledge and sound knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to initiate guidance on designs and systems to prevent, control, and mitigate risks.
• Sound stakeholder management experience.
