About This Role
Overview
We are currently hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading engineering consultancy working on large-scale Data Centre and mission-critical projects across the GCC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and engineering activities for Data Centre and mission-critical projects across all project stages.
- Develop and review HVAC designs, cooling strategies, chilled water systems, ventilation systems and heat load calculations.
- Design and coordinate critical cooling infrastructure, including associated mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, codes, and data centre design requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering deliverables with electrical, ELV, structural, and architectural teams.
- Review technical submissions, specifications, drawings, and mechanical calculations.
- Support project planning, technical reviews, and client coordination throughout project delivery.
- Conduct design validation, value engineering exercises, and risk assessments for mission-critical environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in MEP/Data Centre projects
- Strong background in HVAC and critical cooling systems
- Experience in data centres, hyperscale, or mission-critical facilities
- Knowledge of chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, ventilation, and heat load calculations
- Familiar with international codes and data centre standards
- Strong coordination and multidisciplinary engineering experience
- GCC/UAE experience is preferred
