Role Overview
Full-time, on-site Senior Mechanical Engineer position based in Abu Dhabi.
Leads mechanical engineering design and calculations for MEP systems and supports project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead MEP mechanical design and calculations; review drawings and specifications for code compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines.
- Oversee installation activities and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Prepare and review technical documentation; support procurement with equipment selection.
- Participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning.
- Mentor junior engineers, improve engineering practices, and support client presentations and project meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services, including design calculations and detailed drawing review.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or mechanical load calculation tools; familiarity with international and local codes and standards.
- Project coordination experience, including multidisciplinary teamwork, timelines, and on-site installation and commissioning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; professional registration or chartered status is an advantage.
- Several years of MEP contracting or consulting experience; large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects are preferred.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations and commitment to safe on-site practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and collaborate in a diverse, multicultural team.
