Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical systems testing and commissioning in line with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and construction teams to support integration and transition to operations.
• Prepare test reports, documentation, and compliance records; highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare method statements and perform hands-on MEP testing and commissioning.
• Assist with O&M manuals and project documentation packages, including closeout, in line with commissioning and handover schedules.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; the Education section separately identifies a Bachelor’s degree as preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical systems testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, with ASHRAE, CIBSE, and BSRIA given as examples.
• Problem-solving ability, technical communication skills, and ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams while managing priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site in Saudi Arabia or other project locations as required.
• 8 years and above of experience is listed as preferred, while 2–3 years is stated as proven experience.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 7,000–10,000 per month, negotiable.
