Senior Manager, Software Engineering

Role overview

Developer productivity and infrastructure

• Architect and scale AI-powered developer capabilities, including local MCP integrations, token optimization, and OpenSpec standards.
• Improve the inner development loop through standardized environments, Dev Containers, pull-request validation, and automated code review.
• Lead enterprise GitHub ecosystem management, internal library optimization, and developer tooling efficiency.

Technical leadership

• Architect developer platforms, internal tools, and enterprise CI/CD systems.
• Apply hands-on expertise in Docker, Dev Containers, GitHub workflows, modern build systems, LLM tooling, and API or specification frameworks.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business leaders to turn developer friction into high-impact automated solutions.

People leadership

• Lead a team of at least six engineers building developer productivity solutions.
• Mentor engineers, promote developer advocacy, set technical standards, and support talent and succession planning.
• Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and participation in technology communities.

Basic qualifications

• At least 4 years leading a team in an agile environment.
• At least 4 years of direct people leadership covering talent development, performance management, team building, and succession planning.
• At least 10 years as a hands-on software engineer.
• Knowledge of security, automated testing, continuous delivery, high availability, and system resiliency practices.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• Experience with full-stack software development or the financial and technology industry.
• A bachelor's, master's, or diploma in a related technology field.
• Experience leading multiple teams, influencing senior stakeholders, managing partner relationships, or contributing to application and data architecture.

Compensation

• The expected annual salary range is $202,400 to $231,000, with eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation.
