Senior Manager – IT Application Management

Job Summary

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand and deliver IT application requirements.
• Serve as a primary liaison between business, IT, and vendors to ensure efficient service delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure application performance and user satisfaction through proactive communication and timely issue resolution.

Application Lifecycle Management

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT applications - from planning, implementation, and maintenance to upgrades and retirement.
• Ensure applications comply with business goals, IT standards, and industry best practices.
• Manage change requests, version control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Management

• Lead and manage a team of developers, analysts, and support engineers.
• Foster collaboration, skill development, and accountability within the application management team.
• Drive performance excellence through mentoring and regular progress reviews.

Technical Oversight & Solution Delivery

• Guide teams in developing and maintaining microservices-based and API-driven insurance applications.
• Ensure best practices in architecture, coding standards, security, and performance optimization.
• Oversee integration with external systems, portals, and digital platforms.
• Promote intuitive UI/UX design for customer-facing applications.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Collaborate with InsurTech vendors, cloud providers, and software partners.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensuring service quality and contractual compliance.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party tools and solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management

• Implement quality assurance measures to maintain application reliability, performance, and data security.
• Identify potential risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Support audits and documentation for regulatory and IT governance requirements.

Technology & Process Improvements

• Implement automation and AI/ML capabilities to improve application performance and business outcomes.
• Drive adoption of Agile and DevOps methodologies for continuous delivery and faster time-to-market.
• Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and modernization of legacy systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
