The Senior Manager, Global Procurement (Materials) owns and drives cost structures and savings, reporting to the Head of Procurement.
The role aims to achieve material costs at or near should-cost and below market indices, secure supply continuity, and support innovation and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Forecast global market shifts, raw-material fluctuations, currency risks, and macro-material trends, and share actionable intelligence regularly.
- Build a live tracking system for raw-material prices, currency movements, and supply risks.
- Create material-specific clean sheets for key raw-material inputs to support pricing transparency and Tier 1 negotiations.
- Support Buy Plan margin reviews and partner with material sourcing to achieve competitive supplier pricing.
- Design upstream supplier networks that consolidate material volumes and maximize direct-to-mill leverage.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in commodity costing and clean-sheet costing.
- Expertise in manufacturing excellence and efficiency.
- Knowledge of harvest timing and raw material availability.
- Ability to develop transparent, competitive costing with Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers.
- Experience relevant to one or more listed material categories: linen, cotton, cashmere, silk, denim, active, packaging labels, leather, or down.
