Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (UAE)

Role overview

Leadership and delivery

• Drive regional performance targets for billable utilization, team growth, and hiring while championing delivery quality and customer success.
• Partner with account, engagement, and field engineering leaders to position and deliver enterprise services programs.
• Lead delivery of data migrations, AI/ML platforms, advanced analytics, generative AI, MLOps, and AI agent deployments.
• Set project oversight, risk management, and quality practices that scale with the engineering practice.

Customer and team leadership

• Act as an executive escalation point for critical customer situations and lead issue resolution while protecting strategic relationships.
• Develop and retain technical talent through structured career pathways, coaching, and a culture of innovation, mastery, and continuous growth.

What the employer is looking for

• People leadership experience managing high-performing technical delivery teams, solution architects, or professional services organizations.
• Hands-on background as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer, with technical depth to coach experienced practitioners.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale enterprise data platform migrations and AI/ML programs.
• Executive presence and stakeholder management experience in complex customer environments, including influencing at C-suite level.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, MLflow, Delta Lake, or the modern data and AI ecosystem; hands-on experience with Databricks or a direct competitor is highly valued.
