Position Summary
To lead the development and management of Executive Education programs at KAPSARC School of Public Policy.

The role aligns program execution with KSPP’s strategic objectives and client needs.
Major Accountabilities
- Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the vision, mission, and strategy of KAPSARC School of Public Policy.
- Drive the design and development of the Executive Education strategy in collaboration with KAPSARC School of Public Policy leadership.
- Set Executive Education performance objectives and continuously monitor progress towards realization of objectives.
- Advise the Board, Dean, or President on strategic issues impacting KAPSARC School of Public Policy.
Budget Management
- Oversee the Executive Education budgeting cycle and lead the budgeting process.
- Ensure effective operational execution within the approved budget and report accurately on progress and challenges to the Board, Dean, or President.
- Prepare, submit, and justify budget enhancement requests to the Board, Dean, or President.
Executive Education Planning
- Stay abreast of the latest academic sector trends, standards, and offerings to incorporate best practices into Executive Education programs.
- Guide the development of tailored outreach strategies for diverse customer groups, ensuring effective engagement and long-term relationships aligned with KSPP’s mission and objectives.
- Establish and maintain efficient communication channels with relevant Academic Affairs functions to ensure alignment between executive and academic program offerings.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for private entities, prospective clients, and governmental agencies, and maintain effective communication channels that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Prioritize proposed programs based on market research, emerging topics, and stakeholder feedback to ensure a diverse and relevant range of offerings.
- Approve the design and structure of executive program curricula and learning methods, ensuring a high-quality educational experience that meets the specific needs and objectives of prospective clients.
- Review and approve developed budgets and resource allocation plans for executive programs, considering revenue projections and estimated expenses to ensure financial responsibility, program sustainability, and effective resource utilization.
Executive Education Delivery and Improvement
- Guide program implementation and ensure optimal delivery, effective resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards, thereby enhancing the impact and success of executive programs.
- Ensure the availability of essential resources such as classrooms, e-learning platforms, and other required tools, and address challenges before, during, and after program delivery to facilitate a seamless educational experience.
- Lead, support, and collaborate with faculty members in program delivery as needed, fostering a smooth teaching and learning environment within KSPP and promoting the adoption of industry best practices.
- Review periodic performance reports and ensure the continuous refinement of executive programs based on feedback and evaluation results.
- Perform any other duties as required by the organization.
Policies & Processes
- Direct the development and implementation of Executive Education policies, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by adapting to changes in international standards, shifts in the business environment, and the adoption of leading practices within the function.
- Oversee the resolution of escalated non-compliance cases and reduce non-compliance by ensuring the availability and awareness of established policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of systems, processes, and practices, with a focus on global standards, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Adhere to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
People Management
- Promote a culture that reflects the values of the KAPSARC School of Public Policy, encouraging and rewarding strong performance.
- Enhance employee engagement and empower team members to make decisions by effectively delegating authority where appropriate.
- Provide development opportunities to the team and ensure that career paths and succession plans are defined, reviewed, and regularly updated.
- Set and communicate clear performance expectations, and coach, support, and provide regular feedback to direct reports.
Reporting
- Analyze information and prepare reports and dashboards in a timely and accurate manner to meet defined requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recommended Qualifications and Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, or equivalent with 9-13 years of relevant experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Business Administration, or equivalent with 7-11 years of relevant experience.
- A PhD in a related field is preferred for academic faculty appointments.
