Role overview

Design and technical delivery

• Develop design strategies, execution plans, and technical roadmaps aligned with project objectives.
• Manage MV, HV, LV, UPS, standby generation, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, small power, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Lead mission-critical designs for availability, redundancy, reliability, and operational resilience.
• Review and approve concept, schematic, detailed, IFC, and as-built engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, ICT, ELV, security, and specialist systems.
• Monitor consultant performance, deliverables, design schedules, and milestones.
• Set engineering standards, specifications, design guidelines, and best practices; conduct reviews, audits, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Support value engineering, risk mitigation, procurement reviews, construction, testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, construction, operations, commissioning teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors; serve as electrical technical authority.
• Present solutions, progress, and recommendations to senior management; promote quality, innovation, sustainability, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop electrical engineering teams.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management preferred.
• At least 15 years of electrical engineering design and project delivery experience.
• At least 7–10 years leading electrical engineering teams on hyperscale, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven delivery of complex data center developments from concept through commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of HV, MV, LV, UPS, standby generators, busway, electrical protection, grounding, lightning protection, and mission-critical power infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with international consultants, utility providers, contractors, manufacturers, and specialist vendors.
• Knowledge of engineering coordination, procurement support, construction administration, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
• Thorough knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, and local authority requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
