Senior Manager AWS

Job Purpose

Key Accountabilities

• Own and achieve AWS new sales bookings, revenue, and gross profit targets.
• Drive demand generation, account planning, and opportunity development with sales and account management teams.
• Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline with forecast accuracy and opportunity conversion.
• Lead presales activities including solution reviews, proposal development, effort estimation, pricing, and executive presentations.
• Develop AWS-focused offerings covering cloud adoption, migration, modernization, disaster recovery, resilience, data analytics, and AI enablement.
• Manage strategic AWS relationships including co-selling, funding programs, partner engagements, and technical enablement.
• Oversee implementation governance through delivery managers and technical leads.
• Monitor project milestones, commercial commitments, risks, and dependencies for revenue realization and margin targets.
• Support strategic customer engagements and executive-level discussions throughout the sales cycle.
• Develop and mentor presales and cloud engineering teams while optimizing resource utilization.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within AWS service offerings.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• AWS certifications.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification.

Minimum Experience

• 8+ years of experience in cloud computing, infrastructure services, or technology consulting.
• Experience in cloud business management, presales leadership, or cloud practice leadership.
• Proven track record of achieving enterprise cloud sales, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Experience leading AWS cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience managing strategic cloud partnerships and enterprise customer relationships.

Job-Specific Skills

• Deep knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
• Understanding of AWS migration, modernization, and cloud-native transformation frameworks.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS Partner Network (APN) programs and cloud partnership models.
• Solution design and proposal management.
• Commercial modeling, pricing strategy, and profitability management.
• Pipeline management and opportunity qualification.
• Strategic account planning and business development.
• Contract negotiation and deal closure.
• Revenue forecasting and sales performance management.
• AWS Landing Zone and multi-account architecture.
• Containers and Kubernetes (EKS), serverless architectures, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certifications.
• TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications are an advantage.
