Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Content and Contributor Intelligence (Remote - CAN)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end analyses, including data wrangling, statistical modeling, hypothesis development, and presenting business ideas.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence and learning.
• Work with large and complex textual and visual datasets.
• Develop and deploy models for offline batch products and online real-time services.
• Build text and visual understanding and fine-tune transformer models to derive embeddings for multiple input types.
• Productionize and automate model pipelines in Python services.
• Advocate for machine learning development and operations best practices and mentor engineers in their adoption.

Requirements

• Experience developing and productionizing machine learning models, particularly neural networks, computer vision, and LLMs, including data pipelines.
• Experience using machine learning packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, XGBoost, or scikit-learn.
• Strong coding skills in Python or an equivalent language such as Java or C++.
• Solid understanding of engineering and infrastructure best practices.
• Experience with LLMs, LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Bedrock, prompt engineering, and evaluation is highly valued.

Compensation

• The anticipated compensation range is $135,000 to $185,000; actual compensation may depend on experience and skill set.
• The range may be adjusted if a candidate is leveled higher or lower.
