The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own model deployment pipelines, including versioning, rollout, rollback, monitoring and drift detection.
• Build and maintain the Databricks experimentation environment with the Senior Data Scientist.
• Design and operate serving APIs for forecasts and per-venue model selection.
• Productionise modelling approaches while benchmarking compute, latency and cost.
• Build POS data pipelines, variance attribution infrastructure and forecast explainability systems.
• Advance AI-first development workflows and collaborate on hard systems problems.

Required Expertise

• Strong Python and production software engineering fluency are required.
• Deep MLOps experience across deployment, orchestration, experiment tracking, serving, monitoring and drift detection is required.
• Databricks or an equivalent experimentation and production platform experience is required.
• Feature store design, AWS ML infrastructure, API design and backend engineering experience are required.
• Forecasting literacy, including quantile loss, exogenous regressors and time-series cross-validation, is required.

Additional Experience

• LLM, RAG or vector-database infrastructure experience is advantageous.
• Hospitality, retail, demand forecasting or marketplace experience is advantageous.
• The role values evidence of shipping systems, a bias toward measured production results and effective peer collaboration.
