At Shahul Logistics, we are expanding our Freight Forwarding and Logistics Division and are looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Supervisor who can independently manage freight forwarding operations, customs clearance activities, customer coordination, and logistics documentation while leading the operations team.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations (Air, Sea, and Land Freight).
- Coordinate customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with UAE Customs regulations and requirements.
- Handle import and export shipment documentation, including Bill of Lading (BL), Air Waybill (AWB), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Delivery Orders, and Customs Documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, freight agents, transporters, customs brokers, and overseas partners.
- Obtain competitive freight rates through logistics networks and platforms such as JC Trans, Calogi (CargoLink), and freight forwarding networks worldwide.
- Negotiate rates with carriers, agents, and service providers to maximize profitability and service quality.
- Monitor shipment movement from origin to destination and proactively resolve operational issues.
- Manage customer enquiries, shipment updates, and operational communications.
- Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and last-mile delivery requirements where applicable.
- Ensure all shipment files, documentation, and records are maintained accurately.
- Prepare operational reports, shipment status reports, and performance updates for management.
- Lead, train, and supervise logistics coordinators and operations staff.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, customs regulations, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight, Land Transportation, Customs Clearance Procedures, and Import & Export Documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Calogi (CargoLink), JC Trans, freight forwarding portals, and logistics management systems.
- Strong network with shipping lines, airlines, freight agents, transporters, and customs brokers.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- UAE Driving License is preferred.
