Senior / Lead Game Designer , Mobile Strategy Game

We are looking for a Senior / Lead Game Designer to join our game development team and take ownership of the design direction for our upcoming mobile multiplayer strategy game.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mobile F2P games, especially in systems-heavy games involving progression, economy, PvP, heroes, bases, upgrades, live-ops, and long-term player retention.

This role is suitable for someone who can lead the design vision, structure the game systems, guide junior designers, and work closely with developers, artists, and production to build a scalable and engaging strategy game.

Define and own the core game design vision, gameplay loops, and meta systems.

Design progression, economy, rewards, hero systems, base systems, and upgrade structures.

Build and balance PvP systems, matchmaking concepts, events, quests, and live-ops features.

Create clear GDDs, feature specs, wireframes, flowcharts, and balancing sheets.

Analyze competitor games and identify strong features suitable for our project.

Work closely with Unity developers, backend engineers, artists, UI/UX designers, and producers.

Guide, review, and mentor junior/mid-level designers.

Use player behavior, KPIs, and live data to improve retention, engagement, and monetization.

Support roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and production-ready design delivery.

5+ years of professional game design experience.

Strong experience with mobile F2P game systems, economy, progression, and live-ops.

Previous experience in strategy, PvP, RPG, hero-based, base-building, or midcore mobile games is highly preferred.

Ability to design systems from concept to implementation.

Strong documentation skills using tools such as Google Sheets, Figma, Miro, Notion, Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Good understanding of retention, monetization, FTUE, battle passes, events, offers, and reward balancing.

Nice to Have:

with games similar to Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Top Heroes, Rise of Kingdoms, Whiteout Survival, Kingshot, or similar mobile strategy titles.

Understanding of server-authoritative multiplayer systems.

with live balancing, remote config, A/B testing, analytics, and economy simulations.

Unity knowledge is a plus.
