and Work Nature: A leading construction and engineering company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Lawyer with significant experience and exceptional qualifications in contractual matters and a strong background in the construction industry to support our main office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice, managing contract negotiations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and representing the company in legal matters related to construction projects and operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide specialized legal advice and guidance to senior management regarding contractual, organizational, and legal issues related to construction projects and commercial operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, including contractor agreements, consultancy agreements, joint venture agreements, and supplier contracts.
- Advise on contractual terms, obligations, and compliance, and develop strategies for dispute resolution to protect the company's legal and commercial interests.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi laws and regulations, including labor laws, construction regulations, and corporate laws in all legal documents and transactions.
- Manage and resolve contractual disputes, claims, and variations with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Provide legal advice on labor law issues, including employment contracts and labor disputes, and ensure compliance with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development regulations.
- Review and assess insurance documents and guarantees, and develop risk management strategies for construction projects.
- Monitor changes in Saudi laws and regulations affecting the construction industry and ensure timely updates to company policies and contracts.
- Communicate with external legal consultants, government entities, and regulatory bodies on behalf of the company.
- Support project teams and commercial departments in preparing proposals, managing contracts, and addressing legal requirements.
