Joinery Coordinator role based in Dubai, with in-person work.
The role coordinates joinery drawings, drafting staff, production, and site installation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare joinery shop, production, fabrication, and installation drawings using AutoCAD.
- Check drawings for accuracy, dimensions, materials, hardware, finishes, and project specifications.
- Manage drafting tasks and progress; review draftsmen’s work and provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, quantity surveyors, consultants, clients, and factory teams.
- Prepare drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, cabinets, doors, wall cladding, vanity units, reception counters, and custom furniture.
- Verify site measurements and revise drawings for actual conditions; obtain approval before production release.
- Coordinate materials, hardware, finishes, fabrication requirements, production schedules, availability, deliveries, and installation.
- Resolve technical discrepancies, maintain project records, and manage multiple project deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of UAE experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing joinery shop and production drawings.
- Ability to supervise draftsmen and coordinate drawing workloads.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, joinery detailing, and furniture manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of joinery materials, hardware, finishes, fabrication, and installation methods.
- Ability to interpret architectural, interior design, and MEP drawings.
- Experience coordinating with factory production teams, project managers, and site engineers.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Luxury villa and high-end interior fit-out project experience is an advantage; a UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Role knowledge
- AutoCAD is required for drawing preparation.
- Joinery detailing and furniture manufacturing knowledge are required.
- Knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, finishes, fabrication, and installation is required.
