Overview
Looking for Senior Job Costing Accountant to led the job costing and project accounting function across multiple projects and business units.
The role oversees cost control, project profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while ensuring accurate allocation of project-related expenses.
The position plays a critical role in supporting strategic financial decisions, ERP implementation enhancements, operational efficiency, and financial governance within project-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end job costing and project accounting process across multiple projects and entities.
Review and validate project costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, logistics, and overhead allocations.
Monitor project budgets and perform detailed variance analysis against actual costs and forecasts.
Prepare and present monthly project profitability reports, margin analysis, and cost performance summaries to senior management.
Ensure accurate cost coding, revenue recognition, accruals, and project financial reconciliations.
Partner closely with project managers, commercial teams, procurement, and operations to strengthen cost controls and improve project profitability.
Develop financial models, project forecasts, and cash flow projections for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and financial risks across projects.
Support strategic planning, budgeting cycles, and financial decision-making processes.
Lead improvements in ERP systems, job costing structures, automation, and reporting processes.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, audit requirements, and internal financial controls.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
Mentor and supervise junior accountants and finance team members where applicable.
Participate in finance transformation initiatives and process optimization projects.
& Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA is highly preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in job costing, project accounting, or cost control roles.
Experience
in Construction is a big plus
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED14,000.00 per month
