Role overview

Application development

• Participate in feasibility studies, planning, estimates, application development and model development.
• Monitor analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation across the development lifecycle.
• Support business users with applications and operational issues.
• Analyze complex problems and recommend programming and security solutions.

Collaboration and controls

• Consult users, clients and technology groups and assist with system exposure.
• Help define and follow operating standards and processes.
• Coach lower-level analysts and advise stakeholders as a subject-matter expert.
• Assess risk and comply with laws, policies, ethical standards and control-reporting requirements.

Technical qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development and hands-on RESTful service implementation.
• Spring Boot experience and distributed, microservice-style, cloud architecture experience.
• Experience with AWS/Amazon, ECS, Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube and Bitbucket experience.
• Knowledge of storage architectures, Agile SDLC, multithreading, thread pools, OOP and OOAD.
• Experience developing real-time, low-latency applications; message-driven architecture exposure or experience.

Education and preferred experience

• Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Investment-banking risk-system experience is highly desirable.
• Message broker experience and Clojure exposure are advantageous.

Salary information

• The posting lists a full-time salary range of $94,300 to $141,500; no pay cadence is specified.
