Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Java and Spring Boot REST APIs and backend microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and follow team standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, optimize indexes, and work with relational schemas.
• Use unit and integration testing to support software quality.
• Collaborate on CI/CD, Docker containerization, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot bugs and performance bottlenecks.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on Java backend software engineering experience.
• Strong Java 11/17+, Spring Boot, REST API, and object-oriented design skills.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
• Practical PostgreSQL or MySQL experience, including queries, indexing, and schema design.
• Proficiency with JUnit 5 and Mockito; hands-on Maven or Gradle and Git-based version control.
• Basic understanding of Docker and backend logging frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, willingness to learn, execution focus, and good verbal and written communication.

Preferred skills

• Spring Data JPA or Hibernate and microservices concepts.
• Kafka or RabbitMQ, Redis, CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, or OAuth2/JWT.

Pay

• Pay starts at ₹200,000 per month.
