Senior IT Manager

Job purpose

Infrastructure and security

• Manage servers, networks, cloud services, connectivity, storage, devices, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and IT asset lifecycle across locations.
• Develop, document, and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity arrangements for critical services and data.
• Develop and maintain security frameworks, policies, standards, and controls; protect systems and information from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Manage access rights and authentication, security solutions, assessments, vulnerability remediation, incident response, data protection, and employee security awareness.

Service delivery and business systems

• Lead IT support and service request processes; monitor service levels, provide escalation support, manage IT onboarding/offboarding, and improve recurring issue resolution.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, cloud environments, licensing, core applications, CRM, and technology platforms.
• Coordinate business systems, CRM, website, hosting, and marketing technology integration and troubleshooting; maintain system documentation.

Strategy and project delivery

• Develop IT strategy and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives; lead transformation, evaluate technology, and identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
• Plan and coordinate projects, stakeholders, vendors, budgets, testing, implementation, risk management, communications, training, and post-implementation reviews.
• Report to management on technology performance, investment, risk, projects, and priorities.

Budget, governance, and leadership

• Develop and manage the IT budget; oversee procurement, expenditure, licensing, vendor relationships, contracts, service levels, renewals, and supplier performance.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, approval controls, audit evidence, compliance monitoring, and technology risk registers.
• Lead and develop IT personnel, set objectives and service expectations, allocate resources, and establish service coverage and escalation arrangements.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, including significant senior IT management or leadership experience.
• Experience across infrastructure, networking, VPNs, cloud, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, endpoint devices, backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, service delivery, assets, business applications, CRM, and integrations.
• Experience developing IT strategy and controls; managing projects, budgets, procurement, vendors, contracts, business continuity, data protection, technology risks, and teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, organizational, stakeholder communication, commercial judgment, and service-oriented capabilities.
• Microsoft, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, information security, IT service management certifications are highly desirable; project management or IT governance qualifications are an advantage.
• Website/marketing technology and multi-site experience are advantageous or highly desirable; exposure to listed operational industries is advantageous.
