Senior Interior Designer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept development and design narrative across all interior zones including guestrooms, public areas, F&B, spa, and arrival sequence
• Produce and oversee design development drawings, mood boards, material boards, and finish schedules
• Define material and finish palettes, coordinating with the FF&E Specialist on procurement alignment
• Present design concepts and progress to the Design Manager, Chairman, and brand team as required
• Review and comment on contractor shop drawings and submissions for design intent compliance
• Coordinate with the Senior Architect on spatial planning, ceiling heights, and MEP integration
• Manage design review cycles and maintain design decision logs
• Mentor and guide the Interior Designer on production tasks and design standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional interior design experience
• Proven experience in the design of luxury hotels or resorts
• Minimum 2 years in a senior or lead role on luxury hospitality projects
• Demonstrated experience on 5-star hotel or resort projects from concept through completion
• Prior exposure to IHG or equivalent 5-star hotel brand approval processes preferred
• Experience working in the Middle East or on large-scale island or resort developments advantageous

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD for design development drawings
• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations
• SketchUp or equivalent 3D modelling for concept communication
• Proficiency in preparing detailed finish and material schedules
• Familiarity with FF&E specification formats and procurement documentation
