WF Consulting Architects is seeking an experienced and talented
Senior Interior Designer
to join our dynamic Commercial Interior Design team.
The successful candidate will lead commercial interior design projects (offices, showrooms, and retail spaces) from concept through to construction documentation.
This role bridges design and technical execution, ensuring that design intent is translated into coordinated, buildable documentation that meets codes, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technical drawings and documentation to a high degree of accuracy while meeting project requirements and budgets
- Review and provide feedback on team members’ drawings before Commercial Director review and client submission
- Develop comprehensive design documentation from concept to IFC (Issued for Construction) stage
- Manage assigned tasks to meet project schedules and deadlines
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders as directed by the Commercial Director
- Present design concepts and project progress to management and clients, clearly communicating design intent and responding to feedback and queries
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors to ensure the design intent is accurately executed
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, materials, and design trends
- Proactively identify and resolve project issues while providing guidance and support to junior team members where required
- Conduct pre-issue QA checks to ensure dimensions, tags, schedules, and details are complete, coordinated, and consistent
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 9 years experience in interior design, primarily within the commercial and hospitality sectors
- Must be based in the UAE and have relevant UAE experience
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, detailing, and the production of IFC drawings
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts to clients and project teams
- Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
