Role overview

Essential responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex integrations, defining patterns and ensuring security and performance across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Optimize integration platforms through reuse, standardization, and modernization.
• Translate business strategies and system dependencies into integration designs and roadmaps; advise senior stakeholders on technical trade-offs and risks.

• Oversee integration testing strategies and promote CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex production issues and improve reliability and observability.
• Evaluate technologies, recommend improvements, mentor developers, and contribute to continuous learning.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of integration and/or API development, including 5 years hands-on with platforms such as Boomi, Solace, AWS, or Azure.
• At least 7 years in enterprise application ecosystems, including systems such as Oracle JD Edwards, Workday, or comparable ERP and cloud platforms.
• At least 5 years designing integration architecture and reusable patterns, including domain-based and bounded-context data models.
• Expert REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, RAML, WSDL, and API testing proficiency; deep knowledge of event-driven, pub/sub, microservices, and asynchronous messaging.
• Advanced SDLC and DevOps experience, including CI/CD management, automated testing, monitoring, and agile delivery.
• A college diploma or technical certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Solace or Boomi certifications are highly desirable; AWS, Azure, or Google cloud architecture certifications are an asset.
• Strong technical communication and documentation; experience mentoring developers, leading technical reviews, and improving team capability.
