Senior Integration Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Workato recipes and end-to-end integrations across CRM, ERP, and SaaS applications.
• Support hybrid integration and migration from legacy patterns to modern enterprise workflows.
• Execute testing, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot operational and integration issues.
• Translate business requirements into API-led and event-driven architectures.
• Apply error handling, data security, authentication, governance, and performance-tuning practices.
• Build custom Workato SDK connectors and reusable RAML or OAS API specifications.
• Maintain documentation, API specifications, and data mappings.
• Support and upskill internal teams on integration practices.

Key qualifications

• 6+ years of total IT industry experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Workato integration experience.
• Deep expertise in complex Workato recipes, custom connectors, and Workato API platform capabilities.
• Experience or working knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Mule 4, DataWeave, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
• Understanding of API-led connectivity, RESTful and SOAP services, webhooks, and RAML or OAS.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Java.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, mTLS, API policies, and data encryption.
• Experience with JSON, XML, CSV, and complex data transformations.
• Experience integrating systems such as Salesforce, Zendesk, SAP, NetSuite, or e-commerce platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
