Senior ICT Systems Officer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve delegated ICT systems, including Intune, Azure and backups.
• Lead complex ticket resolution, mentor frontline ICT support staff and analyse ticket trends for recurring issues.
• Develop scripts and automations, improve service delivery and keep users informed.
• Prioritise competing tasks and enhance IT service management, documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with business analysis, requirements gathering and process improvement.

Candidate requirements

• Relevant ICT qualification and/or demonstrated experience in a similar senior technical support or systems administration role.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, identity and backup technologies.
• Troubleshooting and complex incident management experience using an IT service management system such as Jira.
• Ability to identify recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions; scripting and automation experience using tools such as PowerShell.
• Strong customer service, communication, time management and prioritisation skills; ability to mentor and collaborate.
• Current and clean driver licence. Local government experience or familiarity with council systems and processes is advantageous.

Compensation and hours

• Full-time employment, working 70 hours across a 9-day fortnight.
• Salary from $79,939 to $86,334 per year plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills, experience and qualifications.
