About This Role
Overview
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental management systems.
- Conduct advanced risk assessments, site audits, and inspections to identify hazards and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Investigate major incidents, prepare detailed reports, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Provide expert guidance and training to teams and management to ensure HSE compliance and best practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to embed HSE principles throughout all project phases.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging HSE trends, regulations, and technologies to maintain industry-leading practices.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE roles, with proven leadership in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE laws, standards, and risk management principles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Experience in conducting complex investigations, audits, and training programs.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are highly preferred.
