An enterprise client is seeking a Senior Google Apigee X Developer & Administrator to support the design, implementation, and administration of its API management and integration platform within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
This role will play a key part in establishing a scalable, secure, and highly available API ecosystem while supporting enterprise integration initiatives across cloud and on-premises environments.
The selected consultant will lead the setup and configuration of Google Apigee X, cloud networking, application integrations, CI/CD automation, and developer enablement capabilities.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring expertise in both Apigee development and platform administration.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced API management and cloud integration professionals who enjoy building enterprise-grade platforms from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement Google Apigee X environments across Development, Test, and Production.
- Configure GCP landing zones, Cloud Identity onboarding, and required user entitlements.
- Architect and implement Google Cloud networking to support connectivity between cloud-based and on-premises systems.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain API proxies and integration use cases using Apigee X.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate code validation, testing, and deployments across environments.
- Configure and support Google Application Integration, including backend connectors and integrations with enterprise applications.
- Implement API security, governance, and best practices for enterprise API management.
- Configure and onboard Google Apigee's Integrated API Developer Portal.Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to support integration requirements and platform adoption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform, connectivity, and integration-related issues.
- Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
- Provide recommendations on platform architecture, scalability, performance, and security.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Apigee, API Management, and application integration.
- Proven experience working specifically with Google Apigee X.
- Strong experience in both Apigee development and platform administration.
- Experience configuring and managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Experience designing and implementing cloud networking solutions.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.
- Experience developing API proxies, policies, and integration workflows.
- Knowledge of API security, authentication, and authorization concepts.
- Experience integrating cloud-based and on-premises systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
- Nice to Haves:
- Experience with Google Application Integration and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience onboarding and managing Apigee Developer Portals.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks.
- Google Cloud Platform certifications.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale API modernization initiatives.
- Previous consulting or client-facing project experience.
- Arabic language proficiency.
Additional Information
- Immediate-start project based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Candidates must currently reside in Saudi Arabia or Kuwait, or be able to travel to Saudi Arabia immediately upon selection.
- English or Arabic communication skills are required.
