About the Role
We are looking for a
Senior Game Designer
to join our team and lead the design of a
multiplayer mobile strategy game from the ground up
.
This is a senior-level role for someone who has strong experience in
mid-core strategy mobile games, PvP systems, player progression, economy balancing, retention loops, and live operations
.
The ideal candidate understands how to build engaging, high-retention gameplay experiences that scale long-term and keep players competitively invested.
You will work closely with programmers, artists, UI/UX designers, and product leadership to transform ideas into compelling gameplay systems and a production-ready mobile game.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the
- game design vision
- for a multiplayer mobile strategy game built from scratch
- Design
- core gameplay loops, combat systems, progression mechanics, and meta systems
- Create and maintain detailed
- Game Design Documents (GDDs), system documentation, and balancing sheets
- Design
- PvP, alliance, leaderboard, social, and competitive systems
- Build
- retention loops
- , daily tasks, quests, missions, and reward structures
- Design and balance
- economy systems
- , resources, upgrades, timers, and progression pacing
- Develop
- monetization systems
- including in-app purchases, bundles, battle passes, and seasonal events
- Support
- live operations
- , events, updates, and seasonal content roadmap
- Conduct playtesting and iterate based on feedback and analytics
- Analyze KPIs including
- Retention, ARPU, LTV, session length, and conversion metrics
- Collaborate closely with Unity developers and artists to ensure smooth implementation
- Mentor junior designers and help establish strong design pipelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- **5+ years of experience**
- in mobile game design
- Strong experience in
- strategy / simulation / multiplayer mobile games
- Proven experience building game systems
- from concept to launch
- Strong understanding of
- F2P models, player psychology, retention, and engagement loops
- Experience with
- economy balancing and progression systems
- Familiarity with
- Unity production workflows
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with experience using player data and KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
- live-service / live-ops games
- Strong understanding of
- PvP competitive systems
- Experience with
- A/B testing and analytics tools
- Technical design or scripting knowledge (C#, Lua, etc.)
- Portfolio of released mobile game projects
