Senior software development role focused on designing, developing, and delivering complex applications for the Race Roster product.
The role provides technical direction, makes technical decisions, and mentors junior and intermediate developers.
Work location options
- The successful candidate may work 100% remotely from a designated location within Canada, in a hybrid arrangement within 75 km of the London, Ontario office, or in the London office.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership; lead architecture and design for scalable, maintainable, high-performance software.
- Develop frontend and backend code, review code, and solve complex technical problems.
- Mentor developers; evaluate technologies and collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams.
- Improve development processes and product quality; advocate for and implement DevOps practices across development, testing, and deployment.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Five or more years of software development experience and expertise in multiple languages, frameworks, and technologies.
- Deep knowledge of architecture and design patterns; extensive testing, debugging, and performance optimization experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects.
Bonus qualification
- Relevant industry experience is a bonus.
