MSQ DX is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-end Developer for a contract engagement.
The role leads front-end development initiatives and creates intuitive, appealing, and performant web applications for clients.
The position supports remote work across Canada and EMEA locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with clients and team leads to implement high-quality solutions based on technical and business requirements.
- Drive adoption of modern development standards, tools, and frameworks.
- Produce documentation and test plans while maintaining clean, efficient, well-documented code.
- Mentor junior and mid-level team members and promote best practices.
- Develop interactive prototypes for innovative UI solutions.
- Develop tested and documented TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Build responsive, cross-browser-compatible applications for desktop and mobile.
- Follow branding guidelines and UX standards.
- Maintain productive relationships with clients, stakeholders, peers, and management.
What We’d Love to See
- 5 or more years of professional front-end development experience.
- Deep proficiency with HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Extensive React experience, including complex state management and architecture.
- Proficiency with Git workflows and branch strategies.
- Strong browser testing, debugging, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Understanding of the web development process from design through deployment.
- Advanced understanding of UI/UX principles, design patterns, and responsive design.
- Solid knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Intermediate or fluent spoken English and fluent written English.
- Code samples are required.

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills.
- Reliability and consistent delivery against deadlines and commitments.
Nice to Have
- Professional experience with Next.js.
- Experience with additional front-end frameworks.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
