Role overview
Provides advanced accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, analytics, data stewardship, and control activities.
Works independently and applies advanced GAAP and Farm Credit reporting knowledge to complex matters.
Essential duties
- Prepare and review Association financial, shareholder, regulatory, and District reporting.
- Research complex reporting matters, document conclusions, and communicate impacts.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows; steward reporting processes and data flows.
- Review data quality, investigate anomalies, and coordinate resolution.
- Perform and review general ledger reconciliations and support month-, quarter-, and year-end close.
- Improve workflows, procedures, documentation, and training materials.
- Use Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, and Excel for reporting, automation, trends, audit requests, and business needs.
- Support data catalog definitions, data ownership, lineage, controls, and reporting uses.
- Evaluate reporting controls and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate audits and regulatory examinations; train and mentor team members.
Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and Farm Credit reporting requirements.
- Professional judgment and independence in complex accounting and reporting matters.
- Expertise in reporting processes and data, including Alteryx workflow development and testing.
- Ability to use Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, Excel, and other approved tools.
