Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reviews of financial results, highlighting operational initiatives and business risks and opportunities.
• Develop data-driven reporting and insights to improve business decisions.
• Work with accounting to improve finance efficiency and visibility into key financial metrics.
• Support short- and long-term financial objectives, annual financial planning, and quarterly and monthly forecasts.
• Analyze actual results against prior periods, plans, and forecasts.
• Support a like-for-like capital plan and business cases that align investments with strategic priorities and returns.
• Build relationships with business leaders to understand needs and identify business solutions.
• Manage and assist with assigned ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA designation required.
• At least three years of financial analyst experience; retail experience is preferred.
• SQL required; Python or R is an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Collaborative, flexible, highly organized, and able to meet tight timelines and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and people skills, sound judgment, leadership, and attention to detail.

Workplace

• The role is in office at Leon’s Toronto/North York Home Office.

Compensation

• Annual salary range is $80,000 to $90,000; total remuneration considers skill set and experience.
