Senior Financial Analyst

Purpose of the position

Performance management and strategic analysis

• Drive financial performance reviews, operational KPIs, and volume, price, and mix analysis for planning, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
• Partner cross-functionally using category management, consumer insights, promotional activity and effectiveness, and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy.
• Analyze monthly actuals against forecast, budget, and prior year; identify performance drivers and recommend actions.
• Support CPG cost of goods sold and gross margin review, including commodities, packaging, copackers, plant variances, yield or scrap, and freight.
• Provide pricing analysis, scenario modeling, margin analysis, and SKU- and channel-level profitability assessments.
• Produce weekly sales reports, monitor trends, and highlight variances or risks.
• Forecast marketing expense with stakeholders, monitor spend, and support accurate planning.

Close, consolidation, and reporting

• Partner with Accounting during monthly close and consolidation to support accurate, timely, and complete results.
• Update and maintain Anaplan forecasts and models during close.
• Upload management P&L results into Planful for corporate consolidation and reporting.
• Prepare executive-ready financial decks and present insights, drivers, and outlook to leadership.
• Review Foodservice trade spend accruals with Accounting for accuracy, completeness, and timely close.

Minimum skills and qualifications

• Four-year college degree, preferably in accounting; finance, business, a related field, or equivalent may be considered with at least five years of public accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; attention to detail and business acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, drive results, influence others, and work across departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Consumer products and/or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP, Anaplan, Planful, or a similar system is preferred.
