  • Maintain risk registers, risk and control matrices, process descriptions, and other internal control documentation.
  • Identify efficient, proportionate controls and opportunities to remove duplicative controls.
  • Track deficiencies and help control owners design and monitor remediation plans.
  • Coordinate testing with the external provider and engage external auditors on SOX matters.
  • Prepare controls reporting for management, the Board, and other stakeholders.
  • Help adapt the internal controls environment to control owners' growing use of AI tools.

Qualifications

  • CPA or another relevant professional certification; CPA is preferred.

  • At least 3 years of relevant internal controls, internal or external audit, or related experience.
  • Big 4 or reputable audit or consulting firm experience and exposure to public companies are preferred.
  • Experience with frameworks such as COSO and SOX 404.
  • Strong process and risk analysis skills, including documenting processes with narratives, flowcharts, and risk and control matrix entries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with control owners and stakeholders.

Benefits

  • The posting lists salary, bonus, and equity opportunities, health and wellness benefits, retirement savings with company contribution, and an employee referral program.
