Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (R&D)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Drive monthly close, prepare variance commentary, understand accruals and performance, and raise risks and opportunities.
• Support monthly forecasts, headcount and expense planning, and the annual operating plan.
• Analyze the P&L, explain performance drivers, develop strategic narratives, and perform high-impact ad hoc analysis.
• Advise leadership on budgets, strategic trade-offs, and business decisions using clear, data-driven recommendations.
• Identify AI applications and improve or automate team processes.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance.
• 3–5 years in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analytics; high-growth technology company experience is preferred.
• Financial modeling and strategic business planning experience, including creating and executing financial plans.
• Autonomy, problem-solving ability, and comfort in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Strong FP&A fundamentals covering variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, and reporting.
• Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance audiences; active use of AI tools.
