Senior Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS preferred).
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of all accounting records.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts, financial analyses, and management reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor financial performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Support senior management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as

CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA

• 7 years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
