Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA designation (or equivalent CA, CMA, or CGA designation) preferred. Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in operational accounting, project accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing accounting, or a project-based business environment. Demonstrated experience supporting business operations through project accounting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and financial analysis. Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) revenue recognition, Work in Progress (WIP), deferred revenue, and inventory accounting preferred. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements preferred. Experience working in an MRP environment and SAP required; SAP BPC experience is considered an asset. Experience partnering with project managers, operations teams, and business leaders to support financial decision-making. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with operations, finance, and corporate stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, dashboards, and reporting tools. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
