This role involves providing specialized financial expertise to support a technology platform’s microtasking operations.
The position requires oversight of financial data processing, compliance checks, and transaction validation in an AI-driven gig economy environment.
Accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards are critical to maintaining platform integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliation of financial transactions across multiple payment gateways and third-party processors.
- Validate and process microtask payments to global freelancers, ensuring compliance with regional tax and labor regulations.
- Analyze discrepancies in financial records and resolve issues within established turnaround times.
- Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports for audit and compliance review.
- Monitor platform fee structures and recommend adjustments to optimize revenue while maintaining competitive pricing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or payment processing within gig economy platforms or digital marketplaces.
- Proficiency in using financial software, ERP systems, or payment reconciliation tools.
- Strong understanding of international tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and freelancer tax compliance.
- Experience with blockchain or cryptocurrency-based transactions is a plus.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment with strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
